California Lightning Sprint Car Specifications
 
  • A California Lightning Sprint is a scaled down version of a Sprint Car, like those with the World of Outlaws or USAC. While 410 cubic inch engines power the Outlaws, the Lightning Sprints are chain driven racecars, with motorcycle engines supplying the horsepower.
     
  • This traveling series races at Bakersfield, Chico, Placerville, Ventura, and other venues.
  • 1200cc motorcycle engines power the California Lightning Sprints. These rocket ships and use methanol or gas for fuel.
     
  • WEIGHT: 925 to 1000 pounds.
  • CHASSIS: Tubular 4130 Aircraft Steel.
  • ENGINE: Maximum 1202cc.
  • FUEL: Methanol or Gas.
  • TOP WING: 4 feet by 4 feet.
  • NOSE WING: 2 feet by 2 feet.
  • SUSPENSION: Solid Front and Rear Axles, With Torsion Bar or Coil Spring Suspension.
