CALIFORNIA LIGHTNING SPRINT SERIES SEASON OPENER CANCELED (Torrance, CA, March 11, 2025) Due to circumstances beyond club officials' control, the California Lightning Sprints presented by Motor City GMC season-opening race slated for March 21st at the Bakersfield Speedway at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway has been canceled. The Kubota High Limit Sprint Car Series portion of the night will go on as scheduled. The CLS will now open the season on the same Kern County clay oval on April 12th. As the race was part of the annual Civil War Series pitting the CLS vs the Bay Cities Racing Association, officials from both clubs are working together to make the canceled CWS race part of one of the other events on the 2025 schedule.
